You can either move the origin point to that location or align the 3D
Cursor to the bottom vertices and change pivot settings to use that
location. However, you should try to set the origin point of objects in a
location where they might get an advantage in modeling tasks.
For an object that should stay above a surface, the best location will
always be the contact point between the model and a surface (Figure
2.28).

The chair model should have the origin point at the bottom because it is
the most probable place you will use to align it with the floor.
Tip: The origin point is the insertion location for objects you bring from
external files using the Append or Link options. If you have plans to
reuse a model, it is even more important to set the best possible origin
point.
